Linda worked in Corporate America for over 25 years, prior to running Topaz Software.

For the last seven years, she lectured at the University of Texas at Austin in the Management Information Systems department. She worked for IBM for over thirteen years in Information Technology, Engineering, and Consulting in successively progressive positions. She held management positions in Engineering, Strategic Planning, and Systems Analysis. As a systems analyst, she led the team that installed the enterprise wide IT systems for the Systems Technology Division in Austin. After IBM, she became an entrepreneur and formed her own successful software management consulting company and advises or owns four other small successful businesses.

The reason she chooses to run Topaz Software, after her corporate and teaching experiences, is to bring her real-world experiences and academic research to Topaz Software and the Real Estate industry. She founded or owned four successful small businesses and is an entrepreneur at heart.

She started her career by becoming the first woman to graduate from Texas Tech with a degree in Engineering Analysis and Design (the name for Computer Science then). She received her masters in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta and worked in Information Technology positions.

She earned numerous IBM achievement awards, participated in the Texas Tech Engineering Advisory Board for eight years, was voted onto the University of Texas 2003 Texas Evening MBA Honor Roll for superior teaching, and received the 2005 University of Texas Faculty Service Learning award.
